Scholarship Program
Each year the Society awards a number of UTS scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students meeting criteria of academic excellence, participation in school, Ukrainian and general community activities, and financial need. These are funded by donations from the Ukrainian community at large. To date, the Society has distributed over $203,000 in 44 campaigns to 288 deserving students.
Generally, a social is held by the Society to distribute the funds, inviting the recipients, their families and the general community to attend. The Society also contributes to the education of Ukrainian students through a donation through the “SMOLOSKYP” organization in Ukraine, which distributes the money to deserving students in Ukraine to help them with their post-secondary and graduate educations.

Donations
Our scholarships are possible due to contributions by the community. Consider making a donation.
We encourage personal scholarship gifts honoring an individual, family or event. These scholarships are recommended to be in excess of $500. Funding equal to the awarded amount must be deposited in the UTS scholarship account prior to its announcement. The donor has the right to the title of this award and to define the criteria. The UTS Scholarship Board has the sole responsibility of choosing its recipient. If no applicant meets the set criteria the unawarded scholarship will go into the next year's roster. After the third year, if not awarded, all monies resulting from this gift will go into the general UTS scholarship fund to be distributed at the UTS scholarship board’s discretion.
All donations are deductible to the extent provided by law. You will be mailed a tax receipt letter.
