About the Scholarship Program

Each year the Society awards a number of UTS scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students meeting criteria of academic excellence, participation in school, Ukrainian and general community activities, and financial need. These are funded by donations from the Ukrainian community at large. To date, the Society has distributed over $273,200 in 50 campaigns to 325 deserving students.  

Eligibility

The UTS offers scholarships to students of Ukrainian ancestry domiciled in Western Pennsylvania, the Austintown-Youngstown areas, and the northern panhandle of West Virginia, seeking or continuing a post-High School education (college, trade school, nursing, business school, law school, medical school) . Detailed eligibility requirements can be found on the scholarship application form.

2024 Scholarship Schedule

For the 2024 scholarship process, the following schedule has been established:

• April 1, 2024 - application is available. Please download, complete, and email your completed application to [email protected] , use "2024 UTS Scholarship Application" as email subject.

• July 7, 2024 - deadline for application and supporting materials
• Mid-July 2024 - applications reviewed and award decisions are announced
• Sunday, August 4, 2024, 3 PM - Scholarship Presentation Ceremony at Saints Peter and Paul Church Hall (220 Mansfield Blvd, Carnegie, PA 15106).
