SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Each year the Society awards a number of UTS scholarships to deserving undergraduate and graduate students, meeting criteria of academic excellence, participation in school activities and the Ukrainian and general communities, and financial need. These are funded by donations from the Ukrainian community at large. Over $140,000 has been distributed to deserving students by the Society. If you can make a donation this year, please make your check out to UTS Scholarship Fund, and send to UTS, P.O. Box 4277, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15203.
We encourage personal scholarship gifts honoring an individual, family or event. These scholarships are recommended to be in excess of $500. Funding equal to the awarded amount must be deposited in the UTS scholarship account prier to its announcement. The donor has the right to the title of this award and to define the criteria. The UTS Scholarship Board has the sole responsibility of choosing its recipient. If no applicant meets the set criteria the unawarded scholarship will go into the next year's roster. After the third year, if not awarded, all monies resulting from this gift will go into the general UTS scholarship fund to be distributed at the UTS scholarship board’s discretion.
All donations are deductible to the extent provided by law. You will be mailed a tax receipt letter.
