The Ukrainian Technological Society began on February 8, 1970 when the “Articles of Constitution of the Ukrainian Technological Society” were signed by the founders. Shortly thereafter, on April 5, 1970, the members of the new association ratified the “By-Laws of the Ukrainian Technological Society”. Article III of the By-Laws reads as follows:
“The objectives of the Society shall be: improve professional skills of members, provide fraternal support and mutual assistance; cultivate active interest in all aspects of Ukrainian heritage and its contributions to the American society and culture; strengthen the values of the local Ukrainian ethnic group through active participation in the community life; cooperate with other professional and civic associations, groups, or government agencies having similar goals; promote education within the Ukrainian community and aid students attending local universities and colleges”
